Bone Broth - Pressure Cooker Version

If you haven't heard about bone broth, you are probably missing out on one of the most nutritious food (drink?) item which will, I repeat, which will absolutely help with the healing of your body. There are numerous time variations to which you can prepare bone broth, but is highly recommended to consume the broth if it has a lighter shade. I hope you enjoy this recipe.   • 2 lbs Chicken bones frozen since your previous meals
  • 2 Medium carrots
  • 1 bunch Celery
  • 3 Star Anise
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Seeds
  • 1/4 tbsp Black Peppercorns
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 1 Black Cardammom
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 3 Chopped Garlic Cloves


  • Mix in all the ingredients in the pressure cooker
  • Add four cups of water or fill in 1-2 inches above the ingredients. Let the mixture cook in high pressure on low to medium simmer for three hours
  • Carefully let the pressure out and strain the beautiful golden liquid in bowls. Refrigerate (not freeze) for four hours
  • You will see a layer of fat forming on top after couple of hours. Strain again and store in bottles or jars.
  • Enjoy the goodness of the bone broth and consume within 3-4 days
